Building a site

I want to get a website for my business but I'm not sure where to start.

Organising and setting up a website can be a long and complicated process at the best of times. The most important things to begin with are:

  • know why you want a website
  • know what you want to achieve with it
  • who will visit it?
  • will it require updating frequently, or will it be static (remain unchanged)?

Research your competition:

  • find out what they have
  • do you like what they have and, if you do like it, why?

A good designer and developer will be able to assist with domain registration and web hosting as well as the look and feel of your site, and make recommendations regarding site map and content. We recommend that you contact our partners to see how they can assist you. See creative houses that use Flux.
